Simone Biles

Simone Biles, a gymnast American, has won her 20th gold medal at the world championships. Team USA won their seventh World title simultaneously at Antwerp Belgium's World Championship on October 4. Simone Biles has been the most decorated gymnast in history having won 33 medals in international competitions and the Olympics. Biles completed a very difficult vault three days before, which no woman had previously attempted in a stage in international competition. Biles II is now the name of the Yurchenko double pike vault it was originally called Yurchenko. At the end of her all-around competition, which will take place on the 6th October, this record-breaking gymnast will be competing in her very first international meet within 2021. Born in 1997 within Columbus Ohio Simone was taken out of the home of her birth mother, who was struggling with addiction. She was placed in foster care along with her three siblings. Ron who was a retired Air Force vet and Nellie an experienced nurse who retired, looked after Simone aged 6 years old. The couple also took in the older sister Adria. Simone and her older siblings were taken in by their great aunt.
